Yes, you will need a valid passport to visit the UK.

If you are coming from a country that is not part of the European Union, you may also need a visa. You can get more information here.

Your local travel agency can provide you with more data and guidance.

IMPORTANT NOTE: NEW TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR UK VISITORS

In addition to a passport, you may also be required to have a visa or a UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

All travelers visiting the UK (except for UK and Irish passport holders) now need to apply for an ETA before their trip. This includes visitors from the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico and all EU or EEA (European Economic Area) countries.

Important note: This requirement does not apply to those who already require a visa to enter the UK (e.g., those from South Africa, Venezuela, Colombia, etc.). The ETA costs £16, is quick to apply for and is valid for two years or until your passport expires.

If you already have a UK visa or hold a UK or Irish passport, you don’t need an ETA. You can apply for a UK ETA on the UK ETA app or via the gov.uk website.
